Giving opportunity to under privileged communities. Firefighters took 50 members from BAME communities to take part in a cadburys wispa advert.
Making History
"I've never done anything like this in my life, This was amazing, Thank you Firefighters"
Cadburys Wispa was relaunched in 2010 with an opportunity to give society as a whole the chance to shine with various members of the community taking part. Firefighters was asked to assist with providing a gospel choir and members of the BAME community to take part.
Alexandra Palace
The day started with a coach collecting the youths and driving to Alexandra Palace where we were met by the production team and shown to our dressing rooms
"Hair straightening time"
Getting briefed on the activities.
We were then introduced to one of the technical assistants who helped us by telling us what was to be expected for the day and how much time we had (rudely interrupted by Miriam to grab a photo) but the boys clearly didn't mind...
Choir time
As we were the lead vocals on the advert it was important that we got it right. We spent several long hours rehearsing our voices and jazzed up the moment by waving red flags.
The rest of the day was spent eating a delicious lunch and then joining the rest of the public to prepare for our session. Once the session was over our team bonded with the other participants and threw confetti over eachother as well as ensured they enjoyed themselves with some great props.
Watch a brief video of our team having fun in the clip below comprising of photos taken by the Cadburys team.
Once the day was done we were pleased to see the finish product, this advert was on the televison and made our youths day!
